When I am not doing my day job as a school psychologist or ferrying my kids across the county…who am I kidding, that takes up 90% or my time or more. In the fleeting 10% of the time, I either program audio plugins at lvcaudio.com, create large-scale acrylic paintings, or capture/create photographs.
I have two sides to my photography. As a proud father of two high school athletes, I use every opportunity to photograph their games and teams. Regardless of the sport or level of competition, all of these students are amazing competitors. I try to capture the inherent athleticism in each sport and each individual.
My other side of photography is to strive to create fine art images. I like finding the interest in the ordinary, whether that is power lines, common birds in their habitat, local landscapes, or macro photography. I use post-processing to accentuate tones and patterns of the images, as well as being reminiscent of vintage film or printing processes.
